I also got pretty much lovely new clothes (as Christmas gift from my parents) and other nice stuff from my friends and relatives, I think that I could post some photos of them. :> In this year I`d love to be more active blogger and finally post some of my outfits (though I am not definitely any kind of fashion/trend guru haha) and talk more about things that inspire me. : ) We will see..!

Another of my new watercolour paintings! I started it already in last summer but somehow I didn`t find time/inspiration to finish it until now. This time I`m afraid that there isn`t any story about it... How unusual. :---o
ohhh I love the colors! what kind of colors do you use for the skin? I always have so much trouble finding the perfect skin tone. A lot of times, it turns out so yellow. I love how you can make gray-ish tones look so beautiful! And her hair looks very nice, too.
ReplyDeleteI think it's interesting how the girl is looking one way and the goose the other....hmmm, what are they thinking, I wonder? Wonderful work as always ^^
This is a really really beautiful painting... I love the muted colours. I love the emotion and the feeling and I just adore your style... maybe one day, if you wanted to... we could do a trade? :-) I would like that very much :-)
ReplyDeleteI thought of you recently, there is an Artist Scholarship in Finland I am applying for... I hope I get it :-)
Mai: aww thankies! :> And hehe in fact I also used to have some problems with the skin colours. In these days I do it very simply: I keep the "bottom" colour white (papers colour) and then I just start to add different shades on it. First usually some kind of super light orange (a little bit like copic colour skin white for example. Then I also add tones like light brown, violet and sometimes a little bit cyanide blue. : ) I add very light layers and keep painting until I like what I see! In this one I first painted with watercolours and then added some layers with colour pencils!
ReplyDeletehehe hard to tell, but surely something tricky! thanks a lot <3
Monika: Thank you, your comments make me so happy! and aww I`d love to but unfortunately at least right now isn`t probably the best moment for it. To be honest I have promised something like that for a few people for a long time ago already but huh, I am sometimes pretty bad at those so I think that we have already forgotten about those old ones. : /
My problem with trades is sometimes that if the another epson gives me pretty detailed subject, I might have problems to get inspired, I don`t know why. : ( sometimes also if the subject doesn`t feel "me" at all, it is hard. But but those trades that I have done in recent years have been different: we have given almost free hand for each other and that have worked well with me. : > So if we tried something like that it could be super fun! Usually in that kind of trades we have only told what kind of stuff the other peson could draw (like animals, humans, what kind of atmopshere, probably colours). If you still like the idea about the trade, I`d like to do one but sadly you probably had to wait till near summer. : / Sadly there are so so many things to do at the moment!
and ooh, which one it is? : D If you happen to visit Finland (or even start to study here) let me know and we could find out if there is any chance to meet... :) Sorry my super long answer haha, you can send me a private message if it is a little bit easier way to talk about this. :>
wow *_* this art inspired me to make some Accessories done in tender colours
ReplyDeleteFre-frenzy: that sounds great! : ) I am glad that you got inspired!
