This picture was painted for my friend Riikka (her birthday was in November and as a part of her gift I promised to paint something for her), and I wanted to make something with warm and cheerful atmosphere. : )
I finished this already in the beginning of January but somehow I am a little bit unsure about it... Usually I just know when the paiting is ready but this time I couldn´t decide if it`s finished or not! : D Also a silly and rare thing happened: I accidentally made the colours look like nicer than in the original one when I fixed them in photoshop, how troublesome haha...
My newest illustration came out today in Helsingin Sanomat. : ) The opinion that I illustrated this time was about Vanhojen tanssit and how some girls take them probably a little bit too seriously and for example think that their partners should be like their fiancés. :--)

That first painting is so cute! I love your colours and how the composition's central on them :) The second illustration made me laugh though, luckily there don't seem to be many girls like that in my year, aha!

ReplyDeleteThank you Molly! c: and haha I think that girls took things quite peacefully in my school too but I can`t say the same about some other schools... I have heard stories about all kind of silly drama. My mom told me that her friend`s daughter`s friends (haha how complicated...) had been like "I wanna dance with only that person who really loves me..!" (the only choice was that the parter would have been her boyfriend/fiance but they all didn`t have one so then it was like "then I am not gonna dance at all", owww : D)
