This one was about vegetarian meals in school and how they should include something that replaces the meat (like tofu, otherwise the food makes you feel full only for a while).

Hi there little foxes, it has been while..! So many things have happened during these three months that I was gone, I hardly know what to write... Besides it seems to be that I just can`t update my blog regularly, I`m sorry...No matter what I don`t want to decide something like "now I am going to post stuff three times a week!!" because it would make things a little too serious. I want to write this blog for fun anyway. ;----)

Well, my summer vacation (which ended like 100 years ago...) went very nicely and in August (among other things) I visited Lapland with my family and right after it I finally travelled to London with my friend Astri! As you might guess, I took tourist photos with great passion (hee-hee) and I think that I am going to share some of them with you later. ; )

Huh, I miss summer so much... and London too!

In the end of August I also started studying graphic design! :--) In the beginning I was like super nervous (althought it turned out that there are a couple of students from my high school and all people are very approachable) and some things felt a bit hard and complicated.
For example for the first two months I had to live at my grandparents` place (it would take about 2 and half an hour to travel to my current school from my childhood`s home so I had to move nearer) and the school journey took about an hour by bus. The journey to my high school took even longer but for some reason this time sitting on the bus for that long felt super tiring. ; (
Luckily in the beginning of November I finally was able to move to my own apartment and now I can actually walk to school! There would be a lot to say about my school, I`ll have ramble more about it later! :--)

One of our first courses included creating a pattern by using a plant as an inspiration (I chose blackberry, my pattern doesn`t remind me of it at all, though hehe...). We also had to show where the pattern could be used (I found this random picture from a site where they had tons of nice vintage patterns, I`ll have to search for the link later... so the girlies are not drawn by me! :)). I also ended up creating a giff animation of this picture (the same pattern on the dresses, five colour variations) hehe, I just have to find out how to share it in a blogger post eeeeeh....

Hmm, I won`t probably post proper pictures of my apartment (in fact there isn`t much to see at the moment, eeeeh, most of my stuff is in my old room..), but maybe I`ll share some details, heh!
This is my sofa which is in a way a little crappy, but I love it anyway! The sofa was made by my grandpa in the late 60s, he made almost all of their furniture! My grandparents told me that the sofa has had many different upholsteries, the best one in their opinion was the first one that was made with a fabric by Marimekko. In these days it is a leather sofa but I love the history behind it. There is also something fascinating about its a bit worn out look. :---)

This photo was taken on my apartment during my first evening there, haha, the foxie is not very impressed about the content of my fridge... :--D There is some chicken, yummy and sugary yogurts, cheese (halloumi cheese and Oltermanni cheese. I just noticed that the Oltermanni had been in my fridge for almost 3 weeks and was completely dried, ewww! I had totally forgotten about it.. : D Now it is thrown away!) and eeerh, butter?
I must admit that I am not very good at making food yet, hehe. :--D It is not that hard but I have very little experience and I can hardly come up with any ideas for food! For three weeks I have eaten mostly chicken (I love chicken!) with different side dishes, but eeeeh what can I eat if I become bored with chicken? I have tried to eat more versatilely, but at the same time I`d like to eat my favourite foods everyday (because I have to cook by myself), but it is not a good idea because sooner or later I get bored with those. :---( My secret plan is to have a husband who is an awesome cook, haha, otherwise I am doomed... Just kidding, all it takes is some practice (although a cooking husband would be nice 8---D)!

I am not sure if I mentioned this before, but my good friend Riikka wanted to sew a dress for my 19th birthday. : ) The project started around February (when I had my birthday) and in the end of summer she managed to finish it! I was allowed to decide what kind of dress I`d like to have and then Riikka made up the pattern and started sewing. Me and my imaginary friends really love the result, hehe! :> Thank you so much!

Sorry for posting so many useless photos of myself, hehe, but I`ll still have to intoduce you to Mr. Broccoli! Haha, he is probably the most random stuffed toy ever (as my friend mentioned, he also happens to have Tintin`s face! haha!). :----D
I was in Ikea with my mum about a month ago and when I saw him I thought that he is like the coolest thing ever! For fun I asked my mum if I could have him and my mum agreed (he was only about 6 euros, hehe). When I started to wonder if I should have him or a carrot my mum even said "Nooo take the broccoli! He is just your style." I think that I made the right decision, we have gotten along very well. There is so much chemistry between us that he even makes my hair electrical, haha... :---D Too bad that he can`t cook either... Well, together we will survive!
(I am really starting to sound like an crazy cat woman... : D I am a bit worried.)

I have been wondering if I should change the name of this blog ("the fox lady`s mysterious business") to just "her mysterious business"? The shorter version (that I use in some places already) sounds a bit better in my opinion hmmm, what do you think? : )

....huuuh, it has been ages since I posted something new! But yeah, I am still alive so no worries! :---)

I thought that maybe I could share my latest three illustrations for Helsingin Sanomat! The first one is the oldest one. : )

(This one was about the taxation of so called luxury products.)

(How young people should be more involved in politics.)

(And how fundraisers are also human and should be treated better. :---))

Lately I have written so little English that it feels like I hardly know how to write it anymore, eek...! :---o I have been very busy for months now and there has been so much everything new (my new school, moving to my own apartment...) that I don`t even know where to start! Maybe I´ll post a longer entry about everything random later, hehe! Cheers!

wedding Sosuli and hat boxes

Hi little foxes! How are you? : )
It seems to be that I have even 90 followers at the moment! Thank you very much! In fact I have been thinking about doing a simple giveaway when my blog has one hundred (lovely) followers. I already have an idea for that, although it is a bit modest thingie, hehe... :---) Let`s say modest, but made with love!

I feel like posting some photos again, so here we go! The quality and the colours might be quite poor, because I took the photos in evening and the lightning in my room is just really bad... : (

Although I promised myself that I wouldn`t buy anything new for a while, I have gotten a couple new things... For instance I finally got lovely wedding Sosuli moomin cup..! I love it, just too cute haha (look at her sparkling eyes)! :D My grandma was very sweet and bought the cup for me, she also let me choose another cup and I ended up taking Hosuli, who is Sosuli`s husband. (I know, I sound like an crazy cat lady who is talking about her kittens, haha! :'))

Today I got this pretty box! There were 3 sizes of this box and I would have wanted to buy the biggest size (it was more like an hat box), but sadly this colour was almost sold out and there was only the smallest box left. Besides when I was paying for this box I suddenly realized that I had forgotten my wallet home... : D It was a little embarrassing because I had to run out of the store and ask my mum to lend me some money! Hat boxes are really pretty, sadly I don`t own any real one, new or old!

It seems to be that I am always talking about hair, sorry about that... But my hair (well, mostly my hair ends) is turning reddish again, aaght..! Going back to your natural hair colour seems to be much harder than I thought, sigh...
When I had orange hair I used to wash my hair with (in the picture above) a colour hair conditioner that added more orange shade on my hair so my hair colour didn`t fade out so quickly. For already a while I had been wondering what would happen if I tried similar kind of conditioner that is meant for brown/dark brown hair. Finally I got quite curious and I actually bought the conditioner, though I was suspicious about the results... My hair is already so faded and even has a couple of centimetres my own colour (the conditioner is meant for dyed hair) so I thought that the whole thing would likely be just a disaster. ..But surprisingly the result was ok! The conditioner really made my haircolour a bit cooler and darker, and it didn`t cause spots or anything! Oh-so-handy, hehe! ; D
(And oh, the photo above is also taken before I tried the conditioner so it doesn`t show the result! : ))

In the end two sketchbook pages, I have been horribly lazy and it has been ages since I painted something proper! : ( Tomorrow we are going to my family`s cottage (again), maybe I`ll manage to continue my newest painting there..!

happy news and random rambling

Eek, guess what..! Next autumn I`ll start studying graphic designing, in other words I got accepted into the school where I wanted the most! The results were told to us immediately after the entrance examination, but because the information wasn`t completely "official" back then, I decided to tell the good news when I actually get the letter that confirms my student place (the letter arrived yesterday!). :-)
The entrance examination was 4 days long and quite stressing...! I was hopeful that maybe I had a tiny tiny chance to get accepted and I tried my best, but no mater what I wasn`t completely satisfied with a couple of things that I created there, eeerh... :--D Well, I am sometimes very critical towards my own art so I probably overreacted and at least the teachers seemed to like my creations! I feel amazed also about the fact that I apparently got the best possible pointsfrom the entrance examination, full 100 points. Somehow I feel almost shy about it and I just can`t believe the whole thing... It is like someone would try to fool me, haha! But naturally I am very very happy about this, aaaa... :---)

First picnic during this summer! I don´t understand how Riikka managed to take this elegant picture of me while eating, very rare! :' )

I was a bit busy during June because of my summer job, but on last friday my "real" summer vacation started! The first week at work felt very long and I was stressed, because I was sure that I would just fail at everything.... : D Luckily the following three weeks went very quickly and in the end I really enjoyed my summer job! During those four weeks I became really attached to my workmates and it was even sad to leave them! Luckily I can always pay them a visit them and it might be that I`ll be able to work there later too. :) I feel so lucky!

My current sketchbook is almost full, which is great because I have drawn far too little lately! I`ll try to scan more pages later, though they are only full of cute girls (like always..). : )

Erhm, I have also ordered lots of cosmetics and clothes (during this year I suddenly got much more interested into all kind of cosmetics, I have some friend`s who are a bit "cosmetic freaks" so maybe I got influenced by them)... Many cometics that I ordered are by asian brands because I loooove pretty packages! Especially candy doll has adorable packages, I have wanted to try their blush for ages! The make up base was nice too, it is very fair. First I was a bit disappointed because I thought that it has too little coverage but I ended up liking it anyway (I use two layers and powder on more reddish areas, like on my acne scars). : )

I have been dreaming about Melissa rubber boots for almost 2 years and I finally ordered lilac ones. But uuuh, at the moment I am very worried about my order, because the store is having some issues and I am afraid that soon they will tell me that they can`t ship my boots or something. :--( I want them so badly!

I also found this cute Heico rabbit lamp for a nice price (34 pounds, they have been selling the same lamb for 80 euros in urban outfitters...), I´ll take it with me, when I move to my own apartment in autumn. :--)

Okay, maybe there has been enough rambling about all kind of material for one post! Tomorrow I`ll leave to my family`s summer cottage, I hope that the weather will be nice!

girls with rabbit teeth

haven`t post any art related stuff for a while so now it`s time for new sketches..! They are scanned from my newish sketchbook, I find it a little hard to get good scans of the pages but the quality is ok I think! :--)

I love to draw girls with rabbit teeth, hehe!. : D Big front teeth are cuuute. <3

(My friend Riikka has been sewing a dress for me as my birthday gift for several months, we both have been busy so it isn`t ready yet. : ) I drew those simple sketches to show my mum how does the dress look like.)

I hadn`t draw digitally for ages, but now at work I am doing like only digital stuff. I doodled this at work yesterday, it took only about 15 minutes. : )

As I meantioned a few posts back, I am working at the moment (my first summer job, whee!). My first assignment is to design a favicon for the firm (where I am working at) and for some time I was afraid that I couldn`t come up with anything good enough! Luckily my co-workers are very nice and especially today I got more confidence to work with the whole thing and finally I kind of know what I am going to do, huh! So great. :--)

Second hand shopping in Stockholm! ; )

Haha, I visited Stockholm with Riikka like two months ago so it feels a little silly to still talk about the trip, but uuuuh I`ll post these photos now anyway. Once again, I kept mentioning about them many times so it makes sense to actually post them. :--D This time I`ll try to share mostly photos of some cool places instead of posting random shots of our faces or something, hehe!

The only museum that we visited during our trip was Moderna Museet. We planned to check out some other museums too, but errrh, we were too excited about all the vintage stores. : D

The beautiful Gamla stan.

This was a really strange shop that we saw in Gamla stan, sadly it was already closed (it was already late and our last evening there!). They had tons of mounted animals there, like cats and even a dog I think. o__O The clothes in their window looked like nice though!

Oh so lovely Beyond Retro, I am a little sad that we don`t have as cool stores here in Finland. : ( Beyond Retro sells all kind of old clothes from different decades, you usually do great vintage and second hand finds! Me and Riikka checked out all Beyond Retros in Stockholm and in every shop we tried like 15 dresses and other clothes. : D Unfortunately the smaller sizes seem to be very popular (naturally) so sometimes almost everything that you find is too big for you. Or then über small!

I`d love to have this kind of skirt! But they didn`t fit me very well and they were expensive enough that I didn`t dare to buy one just to hang on my wall. : (

Some clothes that we tried on! I loved that yellow dress, but the zipper didn`t work and there were many stains so I left it there. Also that red dress stole my heart and in the end I decided to buy it although it was veeery tight and it almost hurt to wear it, haha... Luckily at home Riikka and I managed to fix it a little and now it fits me better (still tight, but not killing me). The main problem is that the waist is super tiny, but I`ll try to ignore that fact haha. : D

I absolutely loved this cardigan, so soft and cute! Sadly because of the fur it cost about 80 euros, eh...(Just to avoid some kind of misunderstandings I must say that personally I don`t mind about buying second hand fur products (for example I have a second hand fur hat). but I wouldn`t buy brand new products that are made of fur.)

Gorgeous Swedish Hasbeens in Tjallamalla. Riikka bought nude ones (she had dreamed about them for ages!), though she got hers from urban outfitters. : )

In a vintage shop named Lisa Larsson, I love the lady`s expression. ;--)

Lastly a photo that was taken in a small design shop hold by two women, sadly I don`t remember the name of it... They sold pretty dresses (obviously handmade) that reminded me of the 60s. They were adorable, but we didn`t end up buying any.

Well, well... In a nutshell I would say that our trip went really well and I really recommend visiting Stockholm if you adore second hand shopping and stylish design shops. ;-----)

On last Saturday I finally graduated from high school, whee! : D I was a little nervous about our graduation ceremony (it took about two hours!), but luckily everything went well! I even got three stipends which made me very happy; two of them were art stipends and the third one was from mathematics. Each stipend included a certain amount of money which was very nice because I spent way too much money in Stockholm... Now I can start saving again, hehe!

Huh, there would be so much things to tell but I am super tired so maybe I`ll write a longer post later. : ) Among other things I managed to get a summer job and I started working on Monday! The first day was awful because I was horribly nervous and this day wasn`t much better because I had a random stomach ache at nigh so I slept very badly. ; / I am a little stressed about the whole job, because I am afraid that I am not good enough to do the work that I am supposed to do, eeeh.... Well, more about it later, maybe I`ll survive. : )

nuts about poladroid and red lipstick

I just noticed that it has been like a month since I posted something new! Anyhow I am still alive and doing quite well. In next week I`ll have my entrance examinations to two art schools where I am applying and I am pretty nervous...Especially another of those schools seems to be like super cool and I`d love to get there..! Well, I`ll try my best and hopefully that is enough. : )

I have been editing some photos that I took in Stockholm, but I am a bit slow so it will take a while before I post them... Speaking of the photos: a couple of days ago I found a funny program called poladroid for Mac and I am in love, hehe! I used to play with this program like two years ago, but when I got a new computer I couldn`t find it for Mac (maybe I didn`t search carefully enough?). ; ) Poladroid is such a nice program if you want to have a fresh, polaroid styled photos: the results are always interesting!

I also rambled on about going to the hairdresser´s a couple of posts ago so I thought that maybe it would make some sense to show the results! : D As I probably mentioned, they dyed my hair a bit darker (nearer to my own colour) and cut like 7 cm off. My hair felt sooo soft and healthy after the hairdresser`s treatment, it I didn`t feel like my hair at all! : D Now it looks like (and feels like) pretty much the same than always, especially because it has been rainy. : )

I also wore bright red lipstick today! I haven`t used lipstick that much after I dyed my hair back to brown from orange, but maybe I am getting into lipstick again!

The subject was quite complicated this time! It was about some weaknesses of our voting system(or something like that....). The point was that a big number of votes ends up to be pretty meaningless. : o

application drawings and Stockholm

Hi there!
Huh, I have been quite busy for the last couple of weeks! First had to draw some "application drawings" for art schools (I`ll graduate from high school in May and I`d love to start studying illustrating/graphic designing or something like that next autumn!).

The picture above is one of my "application drawings", the subject was "me and my friend". I had to draw five pictures and this is the first one I made. Unfortunately I started drawing the application pictures way too late and I had to draw like crazy for the last four days before the deadline, I wish I could have done them more carefully. : ( Uuuh, well at least I managed to finish all the drawings!

After returning my application drawings I had to start packing for my 5-day trip to Stockholm! : ) I have visited Stockholm a couple of times before but always only a day at a time so this time my friend Riikka and I decided to stay there a little longer. Today we finally arrived home and I am super glad because the whole journey was a big success! We both took tons of photos too, so I though that maybe I could post a couple of them here, hehe. B)

Last but not least my latest illustration for Helsingin Sanomat! : ) The text was about games and how people should appreciate them as art too. I hope that people can recognize my versions of Mario and Snake, haha! : D

adoration with starry eyes

I couldn`t come up with a good beginning so I decided to start with two photos of my dear things. : D The first photo presents my prettiest earrings but the silly thing is that I hardly ever wear earrings. My another ear even has two piercings but somehow for years I have felt that earrings are "not my thing". Always when I try to wear them, after looking at the mirror I end up taking them away. But after all I don`t dare to let them grow shut (I try wearing them about every 4th month), because maybe I`ll get excited about them later again! : )

Lately I have been super inspired about many things! While browsing all kind of online stores I have come across with tons of lovely stuff but uh, I must say no to temptation because I am trying to save some money. I am going to travel to Stockholm for five days in April and I need money there, too! : ) Anyway, here are some adorable stuff that I have found:

This is probably the prettiest phone ever! I have always had huge obsession on this colour, sadly someone already bought it. : (

Also this cute dress from etsy got sold a while ago. It is so painful to watch how all your favourite items there get sold -slowly but surely!

Moreover I have also have obsession on lilac for sometime. : ) I am not totally sure where I got this fixation but at least japanese model Tsubasa makes this colour look like adorable with her strawberry blonde hair (sadly my hair isn`t orange anymore..).

By chance I found lovely British brand Dahlia (I can`t believe that I hadn`t found their online store until now!) and I fell in love with their lilac Agyness dress. I ended up ordering it because I thought that I wouldn`t probably find as pretty lilac dress later. To be honest I haven`t ever bought that expensive dress before, but I am satisfied. It is such a lovely dress!

I just noticed that Models own has a nail polish in perfect shade of lilac... Maybe I`ll have to look for it later, too (oh no...). : D

I have adored Modcloth and their clothes for years, they sells tons of pretty dresses. :'o Sadly the international shipping quite pricey, around 18 euros if I remember right. :---( I would love to have pretty much all their dresses!

Last but not least: I can hardly wait until the next Thuesday because then my dear friend Riikka and I are going to the hairdresser`s! : ) Last time I had my hair dyed and cut (I have been cutting my bangs at home though) in August so it has been about 6 months! At the moment my hair looks like something like this:

Last time I dyed my hair back to brown from orange (I am trying to grow my own colour back), but it seems to be that the brown has faded a lot and the previous colour starts to show a little. : o In some lighting you can hardly see the difference (where my own hair colour begins), but for example in natural light the difference between my roots and tops is very obvious and looks like quite gross. : ( In the picture above my hair is a bit dirty so it looks like healthier but in real life especially my tops are very dry.

Last time I was quite satisfied with my haircut and I won`t do anything dramatic this time either. I think I`ll just try to get the shade of my hair browner and colder and get my bangs and tops fixed. :---) I am also trying to avoid using hair dryer and hair straightener because they dry my hair a lot (my hair is naturally curly but I usually straighten it). :--o

my latest illustration for Helsingin Sanomat, the subject was ballot and how young people have so little interest towards it.

Uuh, this week has been pretty tough I would say. My marticulation examinations began on Monday and during these week I have taken exams in Mother language, English and Biology. For the exams we have to study everything that we have learnt during our school years (especially during latest three years) and each exam lasts 6 hours. I am bad at studying many subjects at the same time so my schedule for studying failed like 24/7... : D But uh I guess that the exams went ok anyway, though there is still Swedish left on Monday... I am a little worried because I didn`t find much time for studying and currently it feels like my Swedish would be totally rusty/worse than ever... Well, I can try to get a better grade of it later if it goes super badly, heh... :---)

For last 4 or 5 weeks I have spent nearly al my time indoors. : D Besides I have definitely avoided studying very skillfully and most of time I have found myself surfing online or watching television (normally I watch tv like 2 times a week). I have hardly met any of my friends either, everybody has been so busy! This kind of sluggish life has really started to bore me so next week I`ll try to start "living a real life" again heh! ; ) I have a lot of ideas for my future posts so I`ll try to be more active blogger too!

about an art exhibition

Sorry for the lack of posts, my final exams (marticulation examinations) are in next week so I have been super hyper busy. : ( I was supposed to post about my textile bags but it seems to take still a while before I am able to, so now some other "art news" hehe. :> The painting of mine (my "diploma of art") got into a small art exhibition run by Helsingin taideyhdistys (they picked the paintings to the the exhibition). The paintings and drawings are all by high school students from different schools and the exhibition is hold in Sanomatalo (in Helsinki) for two weeks. It is not really that big deal but I am still happy that they chose my painting there and the opening (which was on Thuesday) was very nice too. : )

Sadly I couldn`t take a better photo of my painting because the lightning was a bit challenging. : D I`ll try again when the exhibition is over and I finally get the painting home.

I was supposed to make a post of my textile bags (my "art news" haha... :)) but uh, I seem to be very slow at finishing that post plus I also noticed that I have an unexpected problem with them... So, maybe I`ll just post about something else before I tell you more about the bags! :)

Personally, I just love searching/looking at pretty pictures that I found on Internet. Usually I tend to save my favourites so that I can browse them later too! Looking at all kind of beautiful photos and drawings is very inspiring and when I see something specially nice, it makes me want to create something lovely too! I decided to introduce to you a couple of super inspiring artists. : )

Riikka Solmunen`s ideas are always very original and her style really appeals to me. You can find her online portfolio here.

Jennifer Lewis paints quirky and cute characters:many of her paintings seem to have a dash of dark humour. I have totally lost my heart to all her tricky animals! : )

I have know Sara Holbert for years via Internet and I adore her cute style. Each picture seems to have a story behind it. : )

I really like the colours and atmopshere in Erica Lugo`s art! She is another great digital artist. : )

The last but not least I wanna show you a few pictures by Marcus Gunnar Pettersson! Many of his drawings are a little scary to me but there is something very fascinating too. : ) Especially I like his black and white drawings!

Sorry for posting so little, my marticulation examinations are almost here (about 2 weeks time left!) and I have to try to study as much as possible. : (

I finally got my blonde wig! I was supposed to wear it at school`s party (we were supposed to dress up and I tried to be a lady from the 60s!) but my wig arrived one day too late..! : < Luckily my own hair with a little teasing was alright!

I used to be blonde/light-haired when I was a kid but these days my natural colour is cold middle brown. : ) I haven`t ever dreamed about having blonde hair and I used to thought that light hair wouldn`t suit me at all but uh, after fooling around with my wig I kind of changed my mind... : D Now I`d love to dye my hair blonde (and have a bob cut)!

Well, maybe I`ll just play with the wig... : )

I have been horribly lazy lately and it is a pity! : ( I hope that my pointless posts don`t bore you to death too, in my next post I`ll have some "art news". : ) cheers! <3

Lovely Monika has drawn two portraits of me..! :> She has been so supportive and kind to me since we met in deviantart and I was flattered and glad when she asked if she could paint me!
Especially the second painting that she made (the first picture in this post) feels very personal to me. The pink striped wallpaper is like from my childhood room and Monika even added some paintings of mine to the background! It almost feels like my whole personality would be pieced together to this painting, I am impressed. :') Thank you so much Monika..!

Today has been such a good day for me -though it began a little badly... I almost missed an important listening test at school because my bus didn`t arrive but I ended up taking taxi with a lady who was also in a hurry (she happened to be a teacher who had to get to her school because they were having the same "national" test there) and everything turned out well. : )

In January I ordered quite many things from different online stores and finally some of them arrived! : >

Recently I have been excited about Japanese fashion magazine Popteen, that I have read via some livejournals and at last I decided to order 2 magazines from Ebay.

It is so much fun to look at all those pretty pictures -although I don`t understand a word, haha. :) I just like how the whole magazine is full of nice pictures and the models are really cute. The Popteen magazines have a lot of make-up tutorials and all kind of inspiring fashion shoots.

My 17-year-old brother wasn`t very impressed when he saw the magazines... :D He found their look rather disturbing but in fact I am not surprised: most of the models are wearing false eyelashes, circle lenses, hair extensions etc.

What about me then, well I think that I wouldn`t want to wear "proper" gyaru make-up daily because it could be hard to be without all those "beauty-things" after getting used to them +I think that more "natural look" is better for me. The gyaru-style looks like mostly pretty to me but I also love very natural kind of beauty so I think that I`ll mainly absorb some inspiration. : ) To be honest I even own circle lenses (I though that it would be interesting to see how I`d look) but I should buy the cleaning solution for them so I haven`t even tried them yet.

Some time ago I found lovely Cath Kidston via Molly`s blog and I fell in love! I have some kind of crazy obsession with all kind of floral prints and Cath Kidston has tons of pretty floral bags! <3 I had hard time while choosing what to order and at last I ordered this big "travelling bag"

and this cute cosmetic case! They are both adorable but unfortunately I couldn`t get any good photos of them. : <

Their whole store is full of everything lovely, aaa, I think that next time I`ll have to order another bag and their cute bath cap... ;)

Today I should have studied for tomorrow`s exam but instead I did all kind of pointless activities, eeh... : (

I bought a new lipstick yesterday! I wanted to buy one with kind of nude/pink tone and after seeing Tahti Syrjala wearing this lipstick, I wanted to try it too! Though I think that the colour suits Tahti much better because she is so pale. <3 ( In the picture I am also wearing lipgloss on the lipstick!)

..I tried to take a photo of my outfit (though it was nothing too special hehe) via mirror but it turned out to be hard and silly... : D

Somehow I ended up taking photos of my room and I thought that maybe I could share some of them here. :----)

I want to show you this wonderful case..! I bought it from a flea market last summer but hardly anyone have seen it yet. :') A nice lady sold it to me and it cost only 5 or 10 euros, I can`t remember... But I think that it was a good find anyway: I just love all kind of "granny bags" with flowers haha. ; )

Hi there, today I have two unseen drawings to show you, hee! : D

This picture was painted for my friend Riikka (her birthday was in November and as a part of her gift I promised to paint something for her), and I wanted to make something with warm and cheerful atmosphere. : )
I finished this already in the beginning of January but somehow I am a little bit unsure about it... Usually I just know when the paiting is ready but this time I couldn´t decide if it`s finished or not! : D Also a silly and rare thing happened: I accidentally made the colours look like nicer than in the original one when I fixed them in photoshop, how troublesome haha...

My newest illustration came out today in Helsingin Sanomat. : ) The opinion that I illustrated this time was about Vanhojen tanssit and how some girls take them probably a little bit too seriously and for example think that their partners should be like their fiancés. :--)

My dear friend Riikka sew me a black velvet dress! I told her how I should buy a basic black velvet dress (I have one with kind of puffy sleeves but sometimes the sleeves disturb me for some reason) and she offered to make one. I am super satisfied, it fits so well and personally I am very bad at making clothes (which is a pity!). Thank you so much...!

Riikka asked me to model for a few pictures that she could use on her burda account and I though that maybe I dare to share a couple of them here too. :-)

about hair and Christmas gifts +sketches

Today it has been such a lazy day, huh I have spent hours and hours with my computer (I don`t even dare to say how many hours haha...). I should do a few illustrations for school and read for exams but I am really good at avoiding compulsory things like that eeeeeh...

I have been looking through some old photos, mostly during about three years. On friday it was my last normal day in high school! It feels so strange, I am a little sad when I think all those lovely people who I won`t see so often now. : (

Uught, I have also been looking at some old pics of me with different hairstyles. : D There hasn`t been anything too radical, during latest three years my hair has been dark brown, reddish/ red (I tried about 4 different tones of red) and orange. My hair used to be pretty short for a few years until about an year ago I decided to let it grow longer.

Finally my hair starts to feel long and I am trying to return to my real haircolour. Though I am afraid that I`ll have to re-dye it brown because I noticed that my hair have started to look like reddish again and the roots are much darker than other hair... : )
Sometimes I miss my orange hair so much and I`d like to just give up on growing my own colour... Also idea about dying my hair black/dark brown facinates me, for some reason I didn`t keep it dark for long back then. But nooo, I must stay strong haha!

I took some photos of my clothes to put on poupeegirl , it was fun! Sometimes I have tried to take some outfit pics that I could post here but it always turns out to be a hard thing to do. Maybe I`ll ask my friends to help me sometimes. : )
All the pictures above are things that I got as Christmas presents. The golden bow is from my friend Janita and my another friend Riikka made those two other bows for me. : ) The mint green lace dress and the orange shirt were bought in Spain (by my parents). I am in love with that dress aaa! <3

I also managed to scan some sketches of mine! I just finished my sketchbook, I should buy a new one soon. :--)

...sick. AGAIN. :---( So boring and stupid, I have like thousands of things to do but I can`t help...I am so sad and nervous, aaa. :( At least now I know that I shouldn`t hang out in a mini skirt + while wearing a crappy jacket -although there would be "only minus 2 °C". Sigh...

On monday (when I was still fine) I was bored and I happened to found this wonderful online photo cabine! It is a lot of fun to make faces and take photos, silly or not. :---) I tried to look like a mysterious lady with my new hat... : )

Hi there! I returned from Spain a few days ago and I had great time there. : ) I managed to draw a lot to my sketchbook and finish even two watercolour paitings!
I also got pretty much lovely new clothes (as Christmas gift from my parents) and other nice stuff from my friends and relatives, I think that I could post some photos of them. :> In this year I`d love to be more active blogger and finally post some of my outfits (though I am not definitely any kind of fashion/trend guru haha) and talk more about things that inspire me. : ) We will see..!

diploma of art

Huh, today I finally finished my diploma of art (I am not sure what`s the term for it in English)! Anyway, the idea is that for every school year they give different kind of subjects for the diploma of art. The student may choose one of them and create a piece of art about the subject she/he chose. In my school we are given about 23 x 75 minutes time to work on the project. (Haha, my explanation sounds a little poor to my mind but I hope that you got the point.)

Well, my subject was "shame" and I was planning to paint three paintings about it. In the end I managed to paint only one painting because I was so slow haha... But I though that it is better to have one good painting than three paitings that are only "alright". : ) We had to also create a portfolio and the 1/2 of the grade of diploma comes from the portfolio. So it is important to make it carefully, too!

I`ll post a proper photo of the painting when I`ll get it home but here are some details of it (taken when the painting was still unfinished). : )

I got inspired by my friend Eve and I decided to create an robo.to account. : ) Haha, I found it pretty hard to film a video that wouldn`t embarrass me too much... At least I wanna try this kind of video blogging, the idea is so nice!

Something great happened: I found my mobile phone! I visited a few lost property offices yesterday and it had been carried there. The battery was empty and there were two new scratches but it seems to be that no one used it and it likely wasn`t even stolen... I feel so silly, haha! : ) Maybe I was just absent-minded (AGAIN) and I dropped it from my bag... But at least I got it back, I am very happy! ; )

I am feeling a little down today. :----- ( Last night I was celebrating my friend`s 18th birthday and my mobil phone got stolen. : ( I am not even sure how it happened (I wasn`t drunk or anything) , it took less than an hour to realize that it was gone. Someone probably grabbed it from my bag when we were dancing, there were pretty many annoying guys who kept dancing way too close to me...

Well, worse things could happen and now no one can`t use my phone for calling etc. but it feels nasty that someone can read my messages and look at my photos there. : ( I think that I am going to visit police office and check out the lost property office.

Otherwise we had great time, dancing is fuuun even though I don`t even dance so well haha. ; )

Uh, even though my marticulation examinations are over (were already two weeks ago..?) I feel quite tired and powerless which is a little stypid because now I would have perfect time for drawing and all kind of personal projects... At least I have currently three art courses (printmaking, art diploma course and one kind of still life course) at school so I am likely to draw a lot anyway. : )

2005

I was 13 years old and I had read W.i.t.c.h series. I liked the style in W.i.t.c.h so it had influenced my drawing style a lot. I also finally got an own computer and soon I started to read manga. The second picture is the first drawing that I drew digitally on an oekaki board. : D Haha.

2006

I turned 14 and my father bought me a tablet (I am still using it haha, it is a little dead these days). I was very into drawing digitally and I spent a lot time on oekaki boards. I also drew some traditional art (the second picture) but mostly digital stuff. And yes, I was very inspired by manga style, heh. : D

2007

I think that 2007 was "the year of change" for me, heh. I was finally somehow happy with my digital art (the lineart, colouring... ) but I had started to get a little tired in manga inspired style. I noticed that my parents and some other people could hardly see any difference between all that manga inspired stuff and the idea about that made me sad. I guess that I hoped that people could recognize my art and my style started to look unoriginal to me. So I wanted to improve it. The noses started to change first, I started to make them reddish and my characters became even shorter and their anatomy changed. I also started to love reddish cheeks, heh! I found a digital colouring style that suited my style (picture three and four) better and I think that the last picture looks already looks like pretty much "me". : D

2008

I was 16 years old and I started high school. Finally I knew how I`d like to draw and I was happy about my style. : ) Big ears, red noses and cheeks and around eyes, haha... I really tried to draw better backgrounds and slowly they improved a little. I got more into traditional art and I made less digital art. Watercolours started to fascinate me a lot and I wanted to learn how to use them better. : )

Yesterday I went to shopping with my friend Eve. I bought a cute top with nice flowers (first picture), two adorable skirts and a bow necklace!

They have opened a purikura shop (if you don`t know what it is, check wikipedia ; )) in Helsinki and we just had to take silly pictures there. : ) My secret trick to make myself more attractive: I add some redness to my nose, haha.... It is often naturally a little reddish and it would probably drive me crazy if I didn`t like reddish noses. :----D

Today I made some kiwi milkshake with my friend Riikka. We spent some time under an apple tree and she painted my nails which was fun! : D

(Something that I finished yesterday. Usually I am not able to paint a new watercolour picture this quickly after another. This one is quite simple so it took also less time than usually.The idea came from a random sketch of grumpy cats that I doodled to my sketchbook. : ) I realized that the colours are pretty similar than in my older painting "The strange noises" (there is a girl with white hair, running in the forest).)

The secret of the striped wallpaper

It`s me when I was a little girl, I am drawings something there. : ) My old room was so pretty, I miss my pink, striped wallpapers(though when I had them, I always hoped that they would be light blue, because that was my favourite colour)! and my rose curtains, snift (my mum gave them to my grandma)... In these days I live in a different house so my room doesn`t look like that anymore. But I have almost as much all kind of stuff than back then! And everything is still as carefully organised, haha.... :-------D

The Christmas vacation will start on Thuesday, I have still a school day on Monday. I hope that I am able to draw a lot during the vacation and do everything nice!
Here are two older pages from my sketchbook, drawn in August and scanned then too, I finally decided to show them here.

I am painting a new watercolour picture, again. I think that I`ll finish it pretty soon, I really look forward it! I`ll show it here then too. 8)

Today it have been snowing which is nice, because Christmas is almost here. I should do so much everything before Christmas, quite scary, eeeek! I don`t just understand why I never start anything early enough... :----(

Sorry for not posting anything for a few weeks..! I am not dead, I just had an examweek at school. I had organized things pretty badly so I didn´t have much time to do anything else, but school stuff and study for the exams. : (
But now the examweek is over and the new period will start tomorrow! I will have an oil painting course and I really look forward it. The Christmas is coming also fast and I am a little nervous about the gifts. I haven`t bought or made any of them yet, eek!
Mums mums, the chocolate of my christmas calendar is too yummy. Here, in South Finland, isn`t even any snow at the moment which is a pity. But the frosty days (especially the frosty mornings) are very pretty anyway. The frosty grass looks like so beautiful, kind of phantasmagoric.

"I can`t still believe that she haven`t realized anything!" said Mathilda.
"It seems to be that the only way the escape is to steal the key from her" Rufus whispered.
The ghosts looked how the girl with the key left the room. Mr. Paw said nothing like never before. In fact the escape didn`t interest him as much anymore and he had started to like the girl who owned the house. She baked delicious pies (Mr. Paw had snitched a couple of them) and it was so comfortable to sleep in her socks box...
